2014 PRS Custom 24 Piezo P24 Trem Leprechaun Tooth

This guitar is in perfect condition, it was bought in Ukraine in Dnipro in 2014 by a man who rarely played it, but now he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has been protecting us from the first days. I am helping to sell this guitar because now the owner of the guitar has more priority tasks.

Includes tremolo handle, case, all documents, papers, envelopes, etc.

At the NAMM 2012, which we all love, Paul Reed Smith presented a bunch of new products, including the Signature Limited, the SE acoustic series, Van Damme/PRS cables… But, perhaps most importantly, the PRS P22, their first solidbody piezo electric guitar!
“We have been working on the creation of a solid body electric guitar with a piezo, you won’t believe it, for a whole decade. We didn't put a piezo pickup in solid body tools solely because our favorite company, L.R. Baggs didn't make a transducer+preamp that would fit in there. But we managed to come to an agreement and developed one.” Paul Reed Smith
“I've recorded and mixed hundreds and hundreds of acoustic guitars, including mixing live and studio pieces, and I've never heard a more musical, more natural sound from a pickup speaker system. This fact alone made me extremely excited, but when I heard the electro sound, I just broke down,” said Grammy winner, renowned producer and sound engineer Don McCollister after a recording session with P22.

In 2012, along with the p22, they made a limited edition p24 with a fixed bridge, and in the next 2013, when people liked the model, they began to develop it by adding a tremolo model to the PRS P24 Trem series. In 2014, the series was embellished with a variety of beautiful colors - in particular, Leprechaun Tooth, which was my choice.

Appearance:
Outwardly, the guitar is of course very beautiful, I saw the Leprechaun color only in the pictures, and I really liked it, but the live guitar turned out to be even more beautiful. Like all the latest prs - abalone birds, and ivory around the edges. Nothing superfluous, everything is strictly in style.

Fittings and functionality: comparing with the same artist 5 - everything is absolutely the same, the same tuning pegs tightly holding the system, tremolo, from which the system does not creep. The sensors are open - in the documents they write p22, on the site 57 08, and I was surprised, because there is no smell of vintage in sound, to see the covers greatly affect the sound, nevertheless. But talk about sound separately.
The guitar is more diverse in functionality than any other, of course, due to the piezo, two outputs and the added tremolo system and 24 frets. Like it or not, this is the MOST VERSATILE guitar to date. As in p22, there are 2 separate outputs here - piezo and mix, you can play both at the same time, just like writing. 5-position switch, tone, volume, a knob for mixing piezo to pickups, and a 3-position piezo switch itself - only piezo at the top, a mix of pickups and piezo in the center, and only pickups at the bottom. Moreover, a piezo mix can be done even with a 5-position switch at the same time, for example, mixing 50% of the piezo sound with 50% of the cutoff on the neck! It's brilliant overall. Features more versatility from p22 - 24 frets and tremolo. There are a lot of people who like to work with a typewriter, and I know a lot of them, it makes me very happy. In fact, something came out between custom 24 with tremolo and p22.

Sound: in my subjective opinion, p24 does not differ in sound from p22, I didn’t notice a difference at all. For those who have not read about p22 - I described the piezo above, these are the same LR Baggs, when recording directly into the sound from the piezo output - you simply cannot distinguish the sound from the recorded acoustic guitar - this is the phenomenon - it was not in vain that the model was developed for 10 years. The sound of the sensors themselves is the middle and high, I would say on a level, the bottom is a little lower. Quite a sharp meaty sound on overdrive, softness on the wedge can be achieved only in the neck, or in the bridge by removing a little tone. The instrument is quite evil in nature and modern in sound. Here, in conclusion, I’ll say that a guitarist who has heard PRS P22 and liked it, but doesn’t know how P24 sounds and wants tremolo and 24 frets – you can safely look for yourself and buy p24, it sounds the same. Satisfaction - 100%

Our review, but true on the 22-fret PRS P22 (same as the p24 but with a fixed bridge and 22 frets)
